Company Structure

Each company hierarchy consists of a single Root Company and zero or more Child Companies (also referred to as sub-companies).

  • Users can create a new Root Company (and therefore a new, independent hierarchy) only if all of the following conditions are met:

    • They are not currently members of any company.
    • They have not reached the limit of three created hierarchies per user account.
    • Their most recently created hierarchy no longer exists.
  • Any company created while the user is already a member of another company becomes a Child Company of the currently active company.

  • Child companies can create their own sub-companies. There is no limit to the number of child companies or to the depth of the company hierarchy.

Managing Child Companies

  • Each company must have at least one user assigned the Company Admin role. This role provides full permissions within the company and includes the following capabilities for direct child companies:

    • Delete a child company (which deletes the entire sub-hierarchy).
    • View the total number of devices in the child hierarchy (device count only, without further details).
  • Users automatically become Company Admins of any company they create.

  • Users can remove their own access to a child company by removing themselves from it.

  • It is not possible to change a company’s parent (i.e., move a company to a different parent in the hierarchy).
